Our client is a growing multisite business seeking to hire a Senior Management Accountant. The role will manage one report and be responsible for producing management accounts, forecasts and budgets for Central Overhead Functions

Ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly management accounts in line with calendar ensuring accuracy, integrity, consistency.
Prepare and present the review pack to the relevant HoD including BvA analysis of staff cost by role and nonstaff cost by category
Answer any questions the HoD has and where appropriate challenge requested adjustments if outside of good practice / Group policy
Complete all necessary follow ups based on HoD review
Identify, highlight and minimise key business risks, by understanding balance sheet position
Ensure appropriate use of GL accounts according to COA and Group accounting policies
Prepare and present the final result to the Financial Accounting Manager for each of your areas of responsibility, answering questions and updating for any feedback given.
Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations on the Blackline system adding appropriate back up / justification for balances aligned with the balance sheet policies
Resolve any required adjustments identified in a timely fashion in the following month
Use detailed understanding of current run rates and commitments to prepare models to support initial

- conversations with HoD

Support the HoD by preparing analysis and review files to present proposed budget to Senior leadership, including key assumptions, benefits cases and drivers of variance to comparative period.
Finalise and roll out the Group recharges policy
Engaging with relevant parties in OH departments to understand charges and identify any "in scope" costs
Model the commercial impact of initiating the recharge to support conversations with Commercial teams and lay the path for implementation
Develop a monthly process to enable reporting and monitoring of recharge success. Recharge basis should be reviewed regularly as per the policy to ensure recovery and charge out to site is sufficient to recover costs.
Escalate perceived risks or opportunities regularly to Financial Accounting Manager
Prepare and invoice quarterly management fees between group companies for management costs.
The role will manage the Management Accountant (Central Overheads) within the Financial Control team.
The Senior Management Accountant (Central Overheads) will be key in developing the Management Accountant (Central Overheads) who will be studying for their accounting qualification.

A salary of £45,000-£50,000 is on offer plus benefits.
