Our Meallmore team at Leven Beach are ready to warmly welcome you as a Maintenance Person within their care home.
Located on the promenade of the seaside town of Leven in Fife, Leven Beach enjoys picturesque views across the Firth of Forth, adding to the charm of its location.
This purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.
Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career.
Your role as a Meallmore Maintenance Person will include:
- Minor plumbing and electrical repairs including portable appliance testing (training provided)
- Handling general carpentry work, such as fixing doors, windows, and furniture
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas, including pathways and gardens
- Collaborating with other staff members to address maintenancerelated concerns promptly
- Ensuring compliance with all water, fire, and life safety regulations and maintaining records of maintenance activities
- To communicate hazards/information to all staff.
- To ensure that paintwork on walls and ceilings is at all times in good repair
- Supporting the Home Manager with external agencies visits and management of Site Help Desk Contractors to facilitate all required planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed timeously
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Basic IT Skills
- Willingness to undertake any required training to support the role

Salary:
£12.26 per hour + overtime rates + benefits
Hours: 37.5 per week,
