Do you have an experience in a high-hazard industry and highly regulated environment? Do you have experience with Industrial safety work? Would you like to work on the most exciting and challenging projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK? Above all, are you passionate to help Britain achieve #CarbonNetZero?

Then this role might be for you
This is an excellent opportunity to join EDF as an Industrial Safety Lead at HPC. Hinkley Point 'C' (HPC) is a vital part of the UK's future energy strategy.

As the first of the UK's next generation of nuclear power stations, HPC is both of high profile and high complexity.

Its delivery will be reliant not only on innovative engineering and construction but also on the strongest of Leadership qualities among its Delivery Managers.

As an Industrial Safety Lead, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the industrial safety arrangements for the Hinkley Point C operational site.

You will establish and promote the safety culture for the operational phase of HPC.

Your responsibility also includes liaising with the construction industrial safety team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational arrangements.

The role sits within the Pre-Operations department within Nuclear New Build, which is building two new nuclear reactors (European Pressurised Water Reactor - EPR) at Hinkley Point C.

The Pre-Operations department is responsible for ensuring that we have the facilities, trained people and procedures we need prior to starting operation.

As an Industrial Safety Lead, you will work with the construction industrial safety team to ensure the smooth transition of arrangements from construction to nuclear operations.

In addition, you will work closely with the site construction team to develop the safety arrangements for the management of the Pre-Operations team's work during the construction phase and through commissioning to the operational phase.

If this sounds interesting, then please do consider applying.
