The role is based in West Malling a permanent opportunity which offers you a supportive - 7-year training and progression plan.
In this role you would be working Monday to Friday 8-5 or 9-6 with two paid 15-minute breaks and 1 unpaid lunch hour.
Our clientis offering an excellent starting salary and great employee benefits.We are recruiting for Quality Technicians & Service Technicians, but full training will be given on both roles.
You will need to have come from a background that involves working in a clean room environment, following strict operating procedures so medicaldevice, pharmaceutical or clinical background are well suited to this type of role.
As the Quality technician your responsibilities would include:
- Perform model-specific final waterproofing tests with the aid of specialised equipment.
- Carry out processes associated with the cleaning of cases and/or bracelets.
- Organise service workflow into the relevant holding station in preparation for cleaning.
- Balance and process multiple workflows simultaneously through the cleaning room, including the identification and filtering of work and/or components requiring manual cleaning versus use of the semiautomated cleaning system.
- Log all service work processed via the Workshop Management Interface, including the scanning of all service notifications and the start and end of all service operations.
- Perform quality control on all refinished work exiting the cleaning system and allocate any identified backflows to the Refinishing Team.
- Transfer all cases and bracelets, including relevant paperwork, from unclean to dedicated clean service containers once the cleaning process is complete.
- Regularly replenish all cleaning fluids/rinses and cleans down all cleaning equipment daily.
As the Service Technician your responsibilities would include:
- Perform sequential servicing procedures on various movement calibres.
- Visually inspect and distinguish worn / damaged components and maintain and organise a 'working stock' of spare parts.
- Repair and adjust watch movements to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain precision tools and equipment to the required standards.
- Maintain high standards of workstation organisation and tidiness.
- Carry out tasks within the Sequential process including service support, disassembly, assembly, and endcasing as appropriate.
Person Specification:
- Educated to a minimum of grade C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Experienced in working to strict operating standards and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of concentration and focus
- A good level of dexterity and handtoeye coordination
- A high degree of accuracy and precision
- Good communication skills
- An interest in watches would be an advantage
