Fidelis MGU is a privately-owned, Bermuda-based Managing General Underwriter, which, through its subsidiaries, is a global underwriter of property, bespoke and specialty insurance and reinsurance products.


The Company currently writes lines of business including; specialty insurance: aviation & aerospace, energy, marine, property, terror & political violence, contingency and other specialty lines; reinsurance: property reinsurance, property retrocession, specialtyreinsurance, whole account/multi-class and bespoke.


The role


This role is an essential part of the Delegated Authority Team, and the purpose of the role is to ensure that all Coverholders activities are monitored, controlled and managed according to the binder terms.


Key accountabilities:


Coverholder Due Diligence

  • Assist with prerenewal due diligence updating documentation as required.
  • Support the production of suitable reports for the prebind process including summarizing contract terms and reporting requirements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Tracking, reporting and escalating issues to underwriting (and UMCC as appropriate) including the review of exceptions to the binder terms (granted authority, approved locations, etc.).
  • Manage the DPMG meeting (Delegated Performance Monitoring Group) and provide regular reports/dashboards and adhoc updates to the Group.
  • Work with IT to create, develop and update the reports and DA Dashboards in Power BI.
  • Coordinate and obtain agreement of the manual pipeline adjustments required by Finance each month.

MGA Oversight / Governance

  • Initiate regular reviews to ensure that all binder terms and conditions are adhered to.
  • Work closely with the Wordings Team as regards the review and agreement of the contract wordings.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • A minimum of 13 years experience in a Delegated Authority team
  • A practical understanding of Underwriting and policy administration systems
  • Advanced Outlook and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to master new concepts quickly, and take initiative with own personal development
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and externally across the Company
  • Must be able to selflead and work effectively both independently and with teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage accurate thoughtful detailoriented work within tight deadlines.
