Job Title:
Admin Assistant
Location:
The role will be predominantly remote, with the need to work from our Melton and Oakham centres on occasion.
Hours: 8 Hours, across 2-4 days a week (Flexible to meet the needs of our members/ staff)
Contract:
Permanent (3 months probationary period)
Salary:
£5,000 p.a.
We are looking for a staff member who can assist our Development Manager in the running of Pepper's
- A Safe Place. This varied and exciting role will support our centres as we grow and expand. The role will mainly focus on supporting our centres with marketing and promotion and on general administrative tasks.
- Administrative support:
- Marketing:
- Events, community networking, leafleting, etc.
- Dropin sessions/ activities:
- On occasion, attending dropin session to cover volunteer/ staff absences
- Listening to members and ensuring the smooth running of sessions when lead volunteers/ staff are absent.
Person Specification:
- Educated to minimum GCSE level
- Great communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
- Empathetic and friendly
- Have an interest in and some knowledge of mental ill health
- Good organisational skills
- Have a good work ethic
- IT literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive issues
- Confidence and professionalism to manage a group of adults with complex needs.
- The ability to work independently, and remotely, whilst also being a good team player
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- The ability to be flexible with working hours
- Job holder must be prepared to undertake training (e.g. Mental Health First Aid)
