Role purpose
The operator has the greatest impact on both equipment productivity and workflow efficiency.

To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking a highly motivated Digital Press Operator, proficient in at least one of the following press platforms:
Indigo, Nexfinity or Inkjet.

This position will quickly and adequately produce detailed, high quality printed materials in a time sensitive atmosphere utilising high speed digital printers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Competence in controlling press platforms
  • Accessing maintenance procedures
  • Accessing troubleshooting procedures using the digital front end
  • Responsible for printing all jobs as assigned
  • Responsible for sending and scheduling all types of jobs to the presses
  • Responsible for stocking machines
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time, this could include running/training on other printing presses within Mimeo where workload requires or to cover staff shortages.

Required skills and Qualifications

  • Strong computer literacy
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Capable of multitasking;
  • Mechanically Minded and detail oriented
  • Logical and process driven
  • Good numerical and literacy skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Working to deadlines whilst maintaining quality work

Desired but not essential Skills:


  • Demonstrable knowledge of working in the printing industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of paper characteristics and other printing substrates
  • Knowledge of colour theory and basic colour management
  • Knowledge of the printing industry
  • Electrical and mechanical equipment skills
  • Background similar to an offset operator

This is a permanent position,_


Hours of work: 37.5 per week,

Rotational shifts: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
