We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our proactive and innovative team.

This position is:

Permanent
Full time (37 hours)

- £28,000

Working primarily from home, with training conducted at the Preston office
Start date January 2023

Responsibilities:

Supervising a small accounts payable team which is responsible for timesheet maintenance, contractor payments, general purchase ledger payments and staff expenses.
Conducting twiceweekly payment runs comprising of contractor, purchase supplier and staff expenses.
Cashbook control and maintenance, including reconciliations.
Sales ledger cash allocation, which will require liaising with project teams as well and intergroup and external customers.
Running credit checks and setting up/maintaining customer accounts.
Fulfilling/assisting with reporting requirements, and general support to management accountants and the wider team as required
.

Experience:

Minimum of five years accounts payable experience required
Experience of supervising a team
Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to use own initiative
Ability to work as part of a small team
Sound organisational and communication skills
