Salary of the Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Engineer / HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Field Plant Engineer:
£30,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience PLUS Overtime

Plus paid door to door when you leave for jobs straight from home - some days may require you to come into site.

Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00pm and Fridays 08:00 - 16:30pm

My client, a busy and ever growing Plant Company, dealing in Construction vehicles / Plant such as Micro diggers, 30 tonne diggers, dumpers, rollers and skid steers, are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Engineer / HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to work in Wigan.

They also have opportunities for Workshop Plant Engineers / Workshop Plant Fitters to join their site in Wigan.

Key responsibilities for the Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Engineer / HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Field Plant Engineer:

Test vehicles and plant machinery and diagnose faults
Recognise and report vehicle/component defects or symptoms of impending failure
Service, adjust and repair vehicles/components
Electrical fault finding
Hydraulic repairs
Complete job records

Essential Qualities for the Plant Fitter / Mobile Plant Engineer / HGV Technician / Mobile Plant Fitter / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / HGV Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Plant Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Field Plant Engineer:

Previous experience in mechanics (preferably heavy vehicle, Construction vehicles, plant, waste and recycling vehicles and agriculture)
Clear understanding of mechanical / hydraulic / electrical systems
Technical ability strong electrical fault finding abilities
Qualification in plant, HGV, mechanical engineering is desirable
Full Driving licence
Computer literate confident in using software to integrate with machines
Ability to work well under pressure
Team player, honest, reliable, trustworthy and a good time keeper
Ability to use own initiative
Literacy and numeracy skills
Attention to detail
Problem solving skills logical approach to diagnostic tasks
Effective Communicator

The Mobile Plant Engineer / Mobile Plant Fitter will have days of leaving straight from home to jobs, and some days may require you to come to site and do some repairs.

For the days that you go to a job straight from home you are paid door to door.
