Description

Our internal Finance team of approximately 9 people, looks after the firm's financial matters and plays a huge role in supporting the business on a day-to-day basis.

The team is relied upon to provide timely and accurate financial statistics, reports and accounts.

Within this role you will provide daily, flexible, proactive support to the Finance Team, contributing to the efficiency of the team and services provided to the firm.

Key aspects of the role include:

Posting cash on a daily basis onto the client ledgers on Practice Engine, ensuring that total cash posted ties in and reconciles.
Supporting the Senior Revenue Controller with credit control matters and queries.
Delivering cheques received to the bank.
Becoming a relied upon point of contact for internal queries regarding the PE system
Assisting with queries on Invoice/Credit Notes/WIP Transfers.
Assisting the Management Accountant and Finance Systems Accountant to run month end, download reports from PE and file the reports (Excel version) to the network.
Assisting with the expenses process including receiving expense claims and processing them for payment.
Providing general assistance and support to the wider Finance Team, and provide cover as required during team members' holiday and absence.

Training Provided

You will study towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 and Level 4 qualification over 30 months under an apprenticeship, building not only on your technical skills, but also on your personal and professional development.

Continued career progression is supported with a view for further study towards the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification after completion of the AAT.

Training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors' offices, private study and regular exams, as well as on-the-job training.

You will have paid study leave to support you in the run up to exams and all course and exam fees are paid for.

A minimum of 120 UCAS Tariff points from your top 3 Alevels, or equivalent (300 using the old tariff)
A minimum of Level 5 (B grade using the old system) in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent
The right to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the training contract
