As Smart Choice Metering continues its exciting growth plans in 2023 and beyond, We have another new position for a forward thinking and experienced Recruitment Executive to join our expanding team here at our offices in Trafford Park, Manchester.


Role and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Delivery of a full in-house recruitment service on a range of diverse roles
  • Reducing agency reliance by developing direct recruitment strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers at all levels, assisting with the provision of coaching and support through all stages, building a resourcing plan for each vacancy
  • Perform reference checks as needed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a recruitment strategy
  • Work with the HR Team and managers to develop emerging talent pipelines for engineers
  • Organising and conducting open days
  • Creating and updating job specifications and job descriptions
  • Administering tests and assessments when required
  • Assist with the negotiation and management of the offer and referencing process
  • Ensuring that employment regulations are adhered to, and best practice is maintained
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.

Key Experience and Skillset:


  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Working towards growth targets (KPI's)
  • Headhunting and raising employers brand offering through various means
  • Management skills
  • Working in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge of inhouse recruitment services (ATS)
  • Ability to plan and organise workload, with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office packages, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communicator and influencer
  • Works collaboratively to deliver excellent results
  • Demonstrates passion for recruitment and exceeding customer needs
  • Driven towards achieving results and drives a positive impact for the business.
