Project description:

Front Office specialist leading a team on to support our clients Murex 3.1 system.


You will join a global team providing technical and functional support to traders and their support departments across all the business areas.


The team covers a range of products and functionalities within Murex, liaising with risk, product control, front office and other support teams.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experts across multiple functional areas, providing the opportunity to further your knowledge in many areas of Murex.


Responsibilities:

All-rounder, but most important is general business knowledge around the products, ideally across all asset classes

For example, they need to be able to: i. Look at BBG screenshots, configure a bond and understand how the accrued, market value etc are all calculated ii.

Go to an exchange website to find the contract spec for a future and set it up/ check our configuration iii.

Troubleshoot complex SQL-based reporting

Deal directly with business users across the bank including front, middle and back office, finance, product control and risk to analyse and diagnose business critical issues

Focus on Front Office issues with trade booking / pricing.

Work on a variety of Murex system implementation, configuration and developments in various aspects of Murex including MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, RTBS and MDCS

Coordinate and communicate with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document and verify requirements

Analyse and make recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience

Perform technical reviews of production changes

Write clear and concise documentation of issues and resolution within confluence

Deal directly with business users across the bank including front, middle and back office, finance, product control and risk to analyse and diagnose business critical issues

Analyse and resolve issues related to risk, pricing, PnL, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, reporting

Provides detailed information about issues to the vendor, and co-ordinates with them in testing fixes / solutions

Acts as an intermediary between business and vendor


Skills:

Must have

10+ years working experience in Murex

Familiarity with various Murex Modules including: MxML, Datamart, Trade Capture, Trade Events, Processes scripts, UDFs, Access Rights, Static Data, Maturity sets, Market Data, EOD processes, Batch Monitoring and Workflow (pre-trade and post-trade)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical skills; Problem solver; Detail oriented

Able to prioritise issues and understand technical and business impacts of incidents

Ability to work with business and IT stakeholders independently

Technology skills:
Java, Sybase, XML, Unix/Linux scripting

Knowledge of Interest Rate, Equities, SFT and FX financial products"

Nice to have

Working knowledge of SVN, SDA, Team City, release automation via GIT

Ability to excel in a high pressured, deadline oriented environment

Strong team/client orientation

Strong support mindset
