Quanteam Group is a Consulting firm specialised in the Capital Markets industry, in Paris, London, Brussels, New York and North Africa.
Since 2007, our 800 consultants provide major clients (Corporate & Investment Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Brokers and Insurance Companies) with expertise in several projects such as Financial Engineering, Quantitative Research, Regulatory Implementation,IT Transformation & Innovation.
The firm mainly takes part in:
- Business consulting: Quantitative research, Risk management (e.g. Market risk, credit risk, counterparty risk), Banking regulations (e.g. Basel III, Solvency II, FATCA, EMIR, MiFID), Pricing & Valuation, Organisational Transformation & Process Improvement.
- IT & Information systems consulting: Business Analysis, Project Management, Change management, Front Office Support (functional and technical), Development (e.g C++, Python, C#, Java, VBA), Financial Softwares (e.g. Sophis, Murex, Summit, Calypso), IT Transformation& Innovation.
As part of Quanteam Group, Quanteam UK (incorporated in 2010) has today more than 80 consultants, working for major Financial Markets firms in London.
Department overview:
The role is within the Corporate Reporting and Control (CR&C) group within Finance, which comprises a highly collaborative close-knit team of around 60 people.
There are 3 main teams which cover:
Financial Control, Regulatory Control and Finance Resource Management.
These teams are supported by Accounting Policy and Regulatory Policy teams who sit alongside them and are on hand to assist.
Key objectives critical to success:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) or newly qualified
- Strong technical grounding in financial accounting
- Strong written and oral communication skills; able to explain accounting concepts and complex matters in layman's terms to stakeholders
- Analytical and inquisitive and demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset
- Attention to detail accurate deliverables without loss of clarity, timeliness or sight of the bigger picture
- Ability to manage a varied workload to tight timelines
- Team player collaborative and collegiate
- Selfstarter / proactive
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) or newly qualified
- Strong technical grounding in financial accounting
- Experience in providing financial information to business/senior management
- Experience of automation of processes and driving process efficiencies
- Knowledge of Global Markets, Investment Banking or similar business
