We are pleased to be recruiting for a Project Management Assistant on behalf of our industry leading client, who manufactures world famous consumer household cleaning & personal hygiene products.

They are working on a large multi-million dollar project to expand the capacity of one of their products.

You will be joining the team on an exciting and fast-moving project to help to meet our project objectives on cost and on schedule.


The role:
Project Management Assistant


What you will be doing:
Placing purchase orders on behalf of the are engineering team and ensuring purchase order is in place before any works take place

Making change requests to existing purchase orders

Following up and tracking orders and delivery dates

Preparing work completion certificates with the team to mark goods and services as Goods Received on time in order to release payment to suppliers

Launching sourcing events with required specification documents for multiple suppliers for purchases above single source threshold value

Prepare options analysis of offers received with design and operations teams to select best offers from suppliers during sourcing events

Liaising with suppliers who have technical questions and directing them to the suitable engineer/designer to answer their questions

Preparing Excel sheets and trending overall project costs data from SAP

Preparing bespoke Excel spreadsheets to organise the project team


The Hours:
08:00 to 16:00 - some flexibility will be allowed


The Days:
Monday to Friday


The Location:
Grays, West Thurrock, Essex


Pay and Benefits:
£14.42 to £19.23 per hour dependant on experience

About you:

  • Extremely motivated and good at collaborating with people to obtain information
  • Excellent skills on Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Excellent digital skills such as PowerBI are preferred
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Collaboration skills to work across site and with external resources
