**Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary:
£80 - £100 per day*Hours: Part-Time and Full-Time**GSL Education South Yorkshire are looking to employ a number of
Cover Supervisors to work across a Multi Academy Trust. The Trust have a number of Secondary aged provisions across
South Yorkshire, all of whom endeavour to providethe best education for their pupils.

As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be to:

- _Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence._
- _Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work._
- _Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment._
- _Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources._
- _Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks._

To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should:

_Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education._

- _Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided)._
- _Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development._
- _Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills._
- _Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations._
