Description
Commercial Directorate

LNER's purpose is to put the heart into every journey - we will make this a reality for our customers with high-quality ambitious strategies that build customer confidence in travelling by rail.

Here in Commercial, we're here to encourage more people to travel by train, to travel more often and to spend more when they do.

We follow our own LNER vision - to be the most loved, progressive and responsible way to travel, for generations to come.

Marketing Team
The Marketing team has a very wide-reaching brief within the LNER Commercial team.

We're here to communicate with our customers, to tell them useful information about their journeys and our destinations, as well as to encourage them to book more journeys and grow revenue.

We want to raise our brand awareness through our marketing activity, making LNER as recognisable as possible.

We also want to make sure everything we do aligns to our responsible business strategy and reinforces our LNER vision.

We have loads of ambition:
we want to transform rail travel. Becoming the best-known brand in transport, delivering award winning activity, and industry leading use of data and marketing technology.

Role Overview

Your role as part of our Social Media Content team will be focussed on creating engaging video content for our social media channels with a particular focus on Instagram and Tik Tok.

Through a mix of short and long-term campaigns, you'll create content that heroes the amazing destinations we serve, our staff and current trends to raise brand awareness and brand love for LNER.

You will also lead on our influencer and content creator activity, being responsible for recruiting potential ambassadors for LNER, reviewing their content and performance analytics once posted.

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 2 years' experience in social media roles
  • Photo and video editing skills (preferably in Adobe)
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience of stakeholder management at various levels, with the ability to challenge and influence
  • A self starter who is able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • An interest in new and emerging social media trends
Team leadership experience would be desirable as this role will occasionally deputise for the Social Media Content Manager.
