Are you passionate about improving student attendance? We're looking for a Senior School Administrator to lead the way


Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022.

The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.

What will you do?

  • To support the school in fulfilling their legal obligations in relation to Children Missing in Education, supporting them in completing the necessary paperwork and advising on when this should be done, working in line with the Local Authority's procedure.
  • Implement Early Intervention strategies when a child first shows signs of becoming a persistent absentee (EI meetings, TAC meetings, referrals to other agencies)
  • Assist the BSM in completing the census by providing accurate up to date data.
  • Maintain high quality working relationships with staff, students and parents/carers that contribute to creating a productive and happy working environment.
  • Support the onboarding and enrolment of students within Arbor and other key Trust systems.

What are we looking for?

  • Educated to A level standard or NVQ
  • Knowledge of the legislation that applies to the attendance for pupils including the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 (Amended Sept 2013) and the DFE School Attendance Guidance (July 2019)
  • Highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
