This new role is an exciting opportunity to help us grow and further develop our work to tackle physical inactivity, reduce health inequalities and make a difference in our communities.

Based at our offices in Poulton-le-Fylde, this role will be key in supporting the council's leisure, health and wellbeing ambitions and will help implement the action plans identified through our emerging Wyre Moving More Strategy.

You will manage high profile projects such as the Holiday Activity and Food Programme, (HAF) and work with partners from the NHS, Active Lancashire, Fylde Coast YMCA and Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust to procure and deliver a wide variety of adult and children's physical activity, wellbeing and weight management programmes.

The role will enable you to work on projects in different settings such as with workplaces on our Business Health Matters programme and schools on the whole school approach to physical activity.

You will be an experienced physical activity, leisure and wellbeing professional with a passion for delivering innovative projects to reach, motivate and engage our residents, in particular children and young people, those with disabilities and long term health conditions.

You will have an ability to bring fresh ideas and be able to work with a range of partners and residents to inspire and motivate people to take part in our health and wellbeing programmes.
