Description

We are proud to be playing a critical role in the net zero transition, as we aim to more than treble the net capacity in operation over the next 10 years.

SSE Renewables operate the largest fleet of hydro-electric power assets across eight hydro schemes in Scotland. Our portfolio totals 1,459MW of installed capacity, which includes pumped storage and flexible hydro.

Our assets consist of some of the most iconic power station sites constructed, which brought hydro-electric power to the Scottish Glens 80 years ago.
