There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK's largest house builders.

Our West Midlands Division, located in Tamworth is looking to recruit a Trainee Technical Coordinator to join the Division's Technical department.


The Role
The role of Trainee Technical Coordinator will be to support the Design Department with technical matters across multiple projects

  • Coordination of drawing issues
  • Amending and updating drawings using Autocad
  • Production of digital marketing packs
  • Production of conveyance plans and external boundary treatment plans
  • Assisting with technical queries
  • Assist with submission of information to Building Control
  • Maintaining levels of print reproduction material
  • Day to day up keep of departmental digital filing systems

The above list of accountabilities is not exclusive or exhaustive. The post holder will be required to undertake any such duties as may be reasonably expected.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Experience

  • Have a genuine and demonstrative interest in Architecture
  • Some architectural drafting experience
  • Knowledge of Autocad 201
  • Good drawing skills

Qualifications and Training

  • Minimum qualifications GCSE Grade 5 in Maths and English and in one science
  • Current full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

Skills and Aptitude

  • Have awareness of building techniques, materials and regulations
  • Strong communication and listening skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards
  • Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.

The Role and Working Conditions

  • Office based role with occasional travel to development sites
  • Willing to be flexible in respect to daytoday duties and hours worked
  • Core hours 9am to 5pm with one hour for lunch
