We are currently particularly looking for Computing / Computer Science tutors, so if you'd like to help students with their GCSE or A Level Computer Science, please get in touch.


The Role:

We are currently recruiting for tutors experienced in supporting students academically in three main areas of focus
-
Primary
  • English (literacy, handwriting, spelling, phonics). Ideally, the tutor can help with Maths at KS1 and KS2 level also

GCSE & A level
  • English, Maths and Science is our highest demand, but we also have demand in Economics, Psychology, Geography, Politics, Philosophy, Languages the list goes on We also have a particular need for Computing / Computer Science tutors at GCSE and A Level.

Special Education Needs:Dyslexia, dyspraxia, autistic, ADHD and developmentally delayed students including students with speech and language delays


Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke tutoring on a onetoone or small group basis to students in schools, and/or in their own homes
  • Liaise with the Greenhouse Learning local management team to understand the students' needs
  • Plan sessions accordingly and prepare material for session work and homework
  • Complete timely lesson reports using Greenhouse Learning's online system.
  • Ensure you are accessible and reliable, maintaining clear communication with clients and the local management team

Our expectations of tutors who work with us

  • Timely submission (within 48 hours) of tutoring session summary reports via our IT system
  • Once matched to a student, you should commit to completing the tutoring programme that the client has signed up for (for example, a 24hour tutoring package) to ensure learning continuity
  • Deliver great tutoring lessons and academic coaching, as measured by termly client feedback and student progress

Pay rate
For one-to-one lessons in private tutoring, we pay between £19 to £22 per hour

For small group tutoring (likely to be 1 to 3 ratio under the National Tutoring Programme), we pay between £27 to £33 per hour
