Living Places team as a
Street Lighting Operative to work from our Willingham Depot, and you can build something to be proud of.


  • An exciting opportunity to join the Lincolnshire Highways Contract working in the Street Lighting maintenance team.
  • The successful applicants will be based from the Willingham Hall depot in Market Rasen
  • Carry out repairs to Faulty Street Lighting, convert existing Streetlights to new LED lanterns;
  • Carry out Bulk lamp cleans / Testing to HEA Standards;
  • Installation of new Street Lighting Columns
  • Be on a standby rota system to attend out of hour callouts for street lighting emergencies.

What you'll be doing

As a
Street Lighting Operative you will:


  • Provide safe and efficient installation and testing;
  • Work safely and in line with risk assessment and briefings;
  • Must be a good team player;
  • Bring to the attention of the Supervisor/Engineer any technical, construction or safety problems and actively take part in working to resolve;
  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values;
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm;
  • Support the delivery of CSUKs Sustainability activities.

Who we're looking for

Personal Qualities and Experience:

Required Qualifications:
Preferred, but not essential as Training can be carried out:

  • A valid HEA ECS Card;
  • HESA 204.1 Hand Power Tool (cut off saw);
  • HESA 210 Working in the vicinity of DNO (G39);
  • HESA 202 Avoiding Danger from underground cables (C.A.T);
  • HESA 214 Safe Isolation;
  • HESA 714 Initial and Periodic Electrical inspection and testing;
  • HESA 205.1 Work at Heights with steps Ladders.
  • IPAF Static Boom (1b) (MEWP).
