Job Summary:
Fairport Holdings Limited are a family run business with annual turnover of over £10m.

Our finance department are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller, to maintain the Sales Ledger and mitigate against the risk of bad debt as well as assisting the Financial Controller with a number of accounts duties.


Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Full autonomy of credit control (ensuring the credit control procedure is followed both internally and externally)
  • Regular maintenance of finance software so that customer information is up to date
  • Uploading of invoices/credits to invoice discounting facility.
  • Preparation of monthly Sales Ledger Control Account reconciliation to be provided to invoice discounting supplier
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation on all group companies and transfer of funds between accounts as appropriate
  • Monitoring of Daily Cash Flow and forecasting of payments and receipts
  • Monthly reconciliation of ledgers with group and associated companies and making contra payments where necessary
  • Monthly meetings with Financial Controller to report any debtor or other issues
  • Assisting Financial Controller with other duties such as VAT returns, Pensions, Balance Sheet reconciliations etc.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Credit Control experience (3 + Years)
  • Effective Communicator both internally and externally
  • Strong Organisation Skills
  • Good Excel Skills
  • Adaptability to new finance systems

Job Types:
Permanent, Full-time


Salary:
£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
