We design, test, manufacture and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft including Airbus and Boeing, and UK military aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon.


What will I be doing?


As our Supplier Performance Quality Leader, you'll work closely with the Division's Supplier Performance Manager, you'll structure the relationship with a group of specialist suppliers, managing their technical, logístical and quality performance.


Alongside this, you'll carry out specific audits on suppliers and the supplier network where needed, giving recommendations for the longer term development of the supplier network, and measuring the effectiveness of action plans put in place.


In the event of a crisis at a special processes supplier, you'll support production to help mitigate impact of performance on Landing Systems assembly lines, managing a crisis unit and monitoring the progress of your proposed action plans.


What do you need from me?
You've got a background in Engineering, with a related technical Degree/HND or equivalent, and industry experience. You're a confident project manager, with previous experience in production management and planning across complex pieces of work.

You'll have a clear understanding of special processes, including surface treatments and coatings, NDT and heat treatments. You'll be familiar with audit techniques and the 6sigma continuous improvement model.
