Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of Year 6 students;
Assessing and monitoring student progress, and using this information to inform future planning and delivery, including making necessary adjustments to support students in their preparation for endofyear tests and assessments.
Creating a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes independence, creativity, and achievement, while also focusing on students' development of key skills and knowledge;
Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to teaching and learning, including working together to prepare students for endofyear tests and assessments.
Communicating effectively with parents and carers, and keeping them informed of their child's progress;
Participating in professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in primary education, including staying uptodate with developments and best practices.

Requirements:

A relevant teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS);
Previous experience teaching Year 6 students and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and national standards, including endofyear testing and assessment;
The ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons, and to assess and monitor student progress effectively;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues;
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students in Year 6, including ensuring their success in endofyear testing and assessment.
