Working Hours:36.25 per week/ 8.45am-16.30pm Mon-Fri
How this role will deliver success
- To deliver quality responsive repairs in customer's homes whilst being professional and polite.
- Support and lead the responsive repair operatives following Calico's performance management framework, ensuring that they are engaged with Calico's vision, values, and strategic objectives.
- To monitor the performance and productivity of Responsive Repair Operatives and to check the correct completion of all related records and that PDAs are utilised correctly.
- To work alongside other colleagues in the repairs service to problem solve and take responsibility for issues arising that could lead to delays or additional repairs needing to be carried out.
- Being proactive in identifying areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback in steps to be taken to improve the responsive repair service.
- To engage and participate within company activities and make a positive contribution.
- Work collaboratively across the service to deliver improvements, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute towards any project work as required.
- Complete post and pre inspections
- To assist with investigations for complaints that are raised to ensure they are dealt with effectively and any learning outcomes are identified and implemented.
- Supervision of direct reports through team meetings, 11s, toolbox talks and My Time Sessions. Oversee recruitment, absence monitoring and performance management.

What you will need to be a success
- Excellent proven people management skills and the ability to challenge, support and motivate staff
- Experience of working in a management/supervisory position and demonstrating an excellent track record in staff management
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team without supervision.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Ability to carry out multiskilling in other trades in line with Calico's criteria
- Experience of completing pre & post inspections
- Experience of delivering high standards of customer service
- Experience of working in a property maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations, requirements, and best practice
- Excellent decision making, communication and organisation skills
Desirable Criteria
- Recognised building or construction qualification
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification
- Asbestos qualification
- Experience of working within a social housing organisation
- Experience of using a range of I.T packages
