    Description


    Our client based in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full end‐to‐end responsibility for the delivery of a utility‐scale solar PV project, acting as the client‐side lead overseeing an appointed EPC contractor.

    The role carries overall accountability from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and final handover.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

    This role suits an individual comfortable taking full ownership of project outcomes and managing EPC delivery at scale.

    Key Responsibilities Act as the single point of accountability for the solar projectLead the project across the full lifecycle, from pre‐construction through COD and close‐outManage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear governance and reportingDrive a strong culture of safety, quality and delivery performanceEPC & Contract Management Oversee and manage the EPC contractor throughout all phases of deliveryLead contract administration, including change control, variations, claims and commercial riskMonitor contractor performance against contractual, cost and schedule requirementsProject Controls & Governance Own overall programme, cost, risk and reporting responsibilitiesEnsure robust project controls, forecasting and risk management processes are in placeProactively identify issues and implement mitigation strategiesOversee all construction activities, ensuring compliance with H&S, environmental and quality standardsLead commissioning, testing and energisation activitiesManage final handover and close‐out, including documentation, acceptance and defect resolutionTechnical Oversight Provide informed oversight across all technical disciplinesStrong understanding of electrical scope, including PV systems, inverters, substations, grid connection and energisationGood working knowledge of civil works, including earthworks, piling, access roads and drainageAbility to challenge EPC methodologies, design assumptions and construction sequencingExperience Demonstrable experience overseeing an EPC contractor on energy or infrastructure projectsTrack record of full lifecycle project delivery, including construction and commissioningStrong understanding of:
    Contract and commercial managementConstruction and commissioning processesExperience operating in roles with full responsibility and accountability for delivery
