We have a panel facilitator role available supporting our Children & Families Directorate in the Councils Integrated Safeguarding Unit and Children's Social Work Service.

This rewarding role is where you would be helping to support Children and Young People across Leeds.

You would be making a difference by providing essential administration support to Children & Families professionals to help support some of our most vulnerable families.

However equally you will be dealing with very sensitive, sometimes upsetting and confidential information.

The Council must do many things in these areas in accordance with legislation so prioritisation and managing deadlines are key factors.


The Senior Administration Assistant role is predominantly preparing for a variety of complex panel meetings and minute taking, where attention to detail and recording of key information is vital.

You will be required to have strong minute taking and communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of people including the Police and other external partners as well as administration colleagues, service managers, social workers and families who maybe experiencing a difficult time in their lives.

About the role
This role is working in the Business Administration service supporting the Children and Families service.

The aim of BAS is to develop a professional service which meets the needs and supports the delivery of the Best Council Plan, ensuring the efficient uses of resources, capacity, and technology.

You will work as part of a team to support the work in the Independent Safeguarding Unit. As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you'll thrive on working in a fast-paced environment.

You will be required to have strong minute taking skills and communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of people including the Police and other external partners as well as administration colleagues, service managers, social workers and families who maybe experiencing a difficult time in their lives.

Good IT skills and attention to detail is essential, you will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

You will be working with information that may be of a difficult and sensitive nature, therefore it is important that you understand and appreciate the nature of this role, and emotional resilience is required.
