We are recruiting a CIPP qualified Payroll Specialist within the Greater Manchester Shared Service Centre.

To help you balance your work commitment with other priorities, you will be able to complete your contracted hours flexibly within agreed parameters.
Whilst there may be a requirement for you to visit our offices on a regular basis, post holders will also have the option to complete some of their working week at home, if desired.
The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS) is an exciting partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police, which was established early in 2017.
Based at Trafford Town Hall, our aim is to provide a first class, professional, HR and payroll shared service for over 20,000 employees and customers across both organisations.
You will support the GMSS Management Team in respect of all matters relating to Payroll processes, understanding regulations and legislation, acting as a point for specialist advice for employees, managers and external stakeholders.
Main Purpose of the role
***To support the development of a Shared Service Centre for Partnership members, ensuring a high performing and customer focused transactional HR, Payroll and Pension service that is continuously improving and makes best use of all available technology.
To provide a comprehensive payroll control and governance administration function across a number of large, complex organisations.
To act as a point of expertise for specialist payroll advice for employees, managers and organisations.
