Role Overview

Job Title Digital Lead

Working hours 37.5 hours per week


Working pattern 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday


Responsibilities

  • Manage tech issues and bugs in a timely manner with external support.
  • Implement SEO best practice and optimise website to increase awareness of tech abuse by driving traffic to the site.
  • Working closely with the Project Lead to develop a SharePoint between our partner agencies to share content, resources, and training materials.
  • Be responsible for the updating and maintaining of the resources.
  • Lead on the creation of digital resources which are user friendly for neurodivergent users or those with disabilities ensuring all content aligns with the organisation's brand guidelines, values, and messaging.
  • Provide monitoring reports on the website and any digital campaigns we lead.
  • Collaborate with agencies to test our accessibility features and implement new features to ensure our content can reach all survivors of technologyfacilitated abuse.
  • Lead and support the development of adding new languages to the website.
  • Act as an ambassador for Refuge, working in partnership with other agencies to ensure an effective, coordinated community response to survivors and their children.
  • Maintain confidentiality and to ensure that professional boundaries are observed when working with clients, staff, and external bodies and to work within Refuge's Code of Conduct.
  • Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with other Refuge staff.
  • Enhancing personal capability by undertaking continuous personal development activity and maintaining up to date knowledge.
  • Ensuring that the confidentiality and security of information is maintained in accordance with our Confidentiality, Data Protection, IT and Security policies.
  • Promoting sustainable working practices and reducing the environmental impact of Refuge's work.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to Refuge's values and to equity, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Essential Skills or Experience

Person Specification:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Working experience of digital marketing.
  • Experience of leading and managing SEO/SEM, databases, and social media campaigns
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience of optimizing landing pages and user funnels Skills
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively manage resources to achieve objectives.
  • Sound judgement.
  • Ability to manage distinct projects, ensuring outputs are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Ability to analyse information to produce evidencebased recommendations.
  • Proactive in approach, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to write professionally and concisely.
