When things go to plan - everyone's happy

Life would be challenging without our Planners, who make sure everything is in place for our operational teams, who keep the water flowing for customers throughout Scotland.

We Care

  • That's why we need people like you who care about your colleagues and customers as well as our business and the environment. People who appreciate their role in helping others to be successful._

The Role:

Our work orders rely on successful planning, as well as operational excellence and customer focus. This is your opportunity to be there at the beginning to map out what needs to be achieved.

You'll liaise between departments to ensure requirements and expectations are clearly defined.

It's highly likely that these requirements will need to be translated into accurate and concise work instructions to avoid any misunderstanding.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in...

  • Planning work activities for operational teams using various systems.
  • Updating and maintaining records and ensure all work activities are on track, providing regular programme updates.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for operations colleagues, to help provide resolutions to any issues.
  • Processing and submitting Traffic Management, footway, road closures, notice and permit requests.
  • Monitoring the work activities from inception to completion, including the raising and closure of notices and permit requests.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that work requirements are understood and fully documented.

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate
Relevant experience working in a fast paced environment, where you have assessed and made quick decisions. Highly developed organisational and communication skills and an enjoyment of dealing with lots of different people. Computer literacy and being customer oriented are a pre-requisite.
