**Anatomic Pathology Associate Scientist- Q2 Solutions, IQVIA's Laboratory Business in Livingston**

As an Associate Scientist within the Anatomic Pathology lab at Q2 Solutions, you will play a crucial role in clinical trials research.
Your responsibilities will include performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures that can impact patient care and stratification in late stage clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt and preparation of tissue samples as well as performing H&E, Immunohistochemistry and ISH staining techniques.
- Adhere to SOPs and regulatory guidelines for accurate analytical procedures.
- Identify and document performance errors or unusual results, escalating them promptly.
- Perform data entry of results in various LIMS system.
- Prepare necessary buffers and solutions for smooth laboratory operations.
- Maintain Laboratory equipment to high standard to facilitate mínimal downtime.
- Guide entrylevel staff and facilitate their onboarding.
- Assist pathologists and senior members of staff with laboratory improvement projects
- Plan workday around expected sample volume
- Various Quality checks
- Adhere to Regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, ISO)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology (some CAP/CLIA lab locations).
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory standards (GLP).
- Proficiency in relevant laboratory techniques and automation.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and infection control.
- Ability to perform accurate laboratory calculations
- Previous experience or knowledge of Pathology lab workflow & Techniques
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, GLP, safety, and infection control practices.
- Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience with specialized laboratory equipment.
- Pipetting experience
Additional Information:
- Flexibility required in working various shift patterns, including rota'd weekends.
- This role does not qualify for UK visa sponsorship.
