Monday - Friday


NSCT Support Pay Point 29-31-

£31,393.17-£33,077.03 gross per annum
About the role

  • To Improve attendance in all our schools.
  • To improve our persistent absence issues and data
  • To ensure all children are always safeguarded through attendance at school.
  • Support the safeguarding team and the school DSL with safeguarding issues linked to attendance.
  • To contribute to raising achievement by improving school attendance
  • To provide a specialist service to assist the Trust in meeting their obligations and targets in
relation to school attendance, especially persistent absence.

  • To promote positive attitudes by students and families towards education and to ensure that
parents are made fully aware of their statutory responsibilities.

  • To identify students with attendance concerns, complete early intervention work and escalate
significant concerns to the Trust's Education Welfare Officer

  • To the Trust's Education Welfare Officer in developing a professional service to support the school
in raising attendance, investigating persistent absences and improving punctuality.

  • To liaise with all school staff with responsibility for attendance as well as the Trust's Education
Welfare Officer

  • To attend the Safeguarding management meeting and provide and record updates.
  • To provide Admin support to the safeguarding officers
The ideal applicant will have

  • Experience of working in a busy school or college environment.
  • A real passion for working within an education environment.
  • Experience utilising SIMS (School Information Management System) within an administrative role.
