Description

Following a period of training, there may be an opportunity to review non complex patients and also teaching and audit work.

This is a full time post split 3 days/ week with the adult renal dietitians based at Guy's Hospital and 2 days/week with the paediatric ketogenic dietitians based at the Evelina.

Administrative & Clerical

  • To manage all correspondence from clinicians to external clinicians and parents/patients.
  • To generate and send prescription letters.
  • To update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and electronic databases.
  • Order, monitor and maintain stock levels of dietetic product samples and supplies.
Patient Related

  • To screen patient lists by checking bloods, anthropometry and clinical information to determine whether a dietetic review is required.
  • Order and make changes to hospital meals for special dietary requirements via the electronic system and by liaising with the diet kitchen. To take into account all cultural, ethnic and religious preferences

The post holder will be joining a Nutrition & Dietetics Department of over 100 dietitians/staff working across Guy's, St Thomas,' the Evelina Children's Hospital and Lambeth/Southwark community services.

The department has a strong commitment to research and teaching.
