Your new role

As Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and cost-effective service to the wider organisation, undertaking purchasing and procurement work across a varied range of categories, for both goods and services.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer and as one of three Procurement Coordinator roles, you will play an important part in managing the day to day purchasing requirements within Faculty and Directorates, to maintain effective customer and supplier relations and to promote good purchasing and procurement practice.

Working closely with Faculty colleagues, and the senior procurement team, you will also contribute to the delivery of an ambitious tendering and compliance programme, including taking ownership of low-medium value and/or complexity procurement projects.

You will conduct procurement data analyses and use and maintain financial systems.

You will need to be a driven, well-organised individual with a keen eye for detail and can work both proactively and collaboratively within a small team in a high-pressure environment.

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

Some experience of working within the Public Sector or HE procurement environments is desirable but not essential, however, the ability to evidence high professional standards is essential.

This post will suit a professional individual who wishes to develop their skills across all areas of the procurement cycle.

The University's wellbeing, reward and benefits package is comprehensive with a wide range of offers and incentives including but not limited to a flexible, hybrid, working arrangement, a competitive salary, a generous pension scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
