We are currently recruiting aContract Officer to join our Commercial team on a permanent basis.

Working hours: 37.5h/ week
Work schedule:
Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm; Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To support the business to deliver profitably in both short and long-term contracts.
This will be achieved through an ability to develop good customer relationships, work in partnership with production managers, negotiate effectively and have an in depth understanding of the deliverables, costs, risks and value of the contracts.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the contract managers to successfully delivery a range of customer contracts for overhaul, refurbishment and spares management.
- Use effective project management skills and procedures to enable the successful delivery of the contract, identify and manage issues which arise.
- Work closely with production to ensure customer delivery programme and technical requirements are met in a multicontract production environment.
- Work closely with both engineering and procurement to predict and effectively manage any future issues as well as identifying and progressing added value improvements.
- Track all customer output, raise quotes, obtain purchase orders and invoice in a timely manner. This would include regular communication with customers to provide status updates.
- Track location, status of customer float, freeissue materials and progress through overhaul to ensure availability to meet likely customer requirements.
- Confirm the scope of work with the customer and liaise with the production team to ensure delivery requirements are met.
- Liaise with customers for programme, contract and commercial issues.
- Assist Contracts Managers in Contract Review meetings with the customer.
- Progress changes to contracts through the internal Change Management.
- Participate as and when required in team and onetoone meetings and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, relevant to the role.
- Keep up to date with developments within the Company, competitors and across the railway industry as a whole and feed into company any possible impacts on Pullman Rail's daytoday activities or future development.
- Ensure, in the course of employment, complete confidentiality is maintained in respect of the Company, its dealings, transactions, and all other information relating to clients/ customers, staff etc.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined, you must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Highly proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of contract procedures and commercial management, ideally involving high risk, high value services or supplies.
- Familiarity with maintenance contracts.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Team player with an ability to work on own initiative.
- Customer focused attitude.
