We are looking for a Mandatory Learning Coordinator to join our team.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

You will be working in the Talent team within People reporting to Associate Director, Talent.


The Talent team at Wellcome has responsibility for key aspects of the employee lifecycle covering recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, performance and talent management.

Operating as a Centre of Expertise, the Talent team is responsible for the talent strategy and solutions, working in partnership with the People Partners and other teams across People to deliver a compelling employee experience.


The Talent Team are looking for a Mandatory Learning Coordinator to manage our mandatory and compliance learning content and programmes across Wellcome.

What will I be doing?


As a Mandatory Learning Coordinator, you will- Liaise with business teams to identify the needs and requirements for mandatory and compliance learning content and programmes as well as building and maintaining the schedule for all mandatory and compliance learning, including annual training, onboarding requirements and ad-hoc content based on policy or process revisions.- Create, embed and maintain a seamless learner experience for all mandatory and compliance learning within the LMS (currently Workday) and contribute to the design and delivery of Wellcome mandatory and compliance learning along with providing reporting to People and business functions insights- Design and operate governance processes to ensure compliance of learning completion and content.- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

You will be a proactive and organised individual who is able to take the initiative to lead the design and delivery of our mandatory learning portfolio.

You will have a mindset of continuous improvement and have the ability to be flexible and delivery-focused.

As a dedicated role within the Talent team, you will need to be comfortable working autonomously, multi-tasking and prioritising your work, often needing to manage emerging priorities.

You will be the first point of contact for all owners of mandatory learning across Wellcome and will be comfortable building positive relationships at all levels.

You will gain exposure to the wide range of projects and initiatives across the Talent team and be a valued contributor to our work beyond this role.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in creating and managing learning schedules with an LMS (Workday is preferable) as well as experience of managing learning governance processes and practices
  • Has working knowledge of mandatory and compliance learning content and programmes, including Conduct, Compliance and Ethics, EDI as well as ability to read and present data with ability to use data to provide analysis and insights.
  • Has demonstrated experience in instructional design and tools (i.e. Adobe Captivate)
  • Has experience of working and influencing in a matrixed learning environment.
