Description

We are looking for an experienced Freight Supervisor to join a leading freight company based in Portsmouth.
The Freight Supervisor position is a permanent and full-time role, working 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. This also comes with a negotiable salary of up to £42,000 per annum

As a Freight Supervisor you would be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the freight forwarding team
  • Accountability of up to 8 staff
  • Monitoring the operations team and their performance
  • Providing a high level of training and support to your team
  • Focusing on providing excellent customer service to existing and new clients
  • Support the sales and commercial team in identifying new clients and products
  • Implementing a KPI system for your team to improve performance

To be successful as a Freight Supervisor, you will need:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great organisation skills
  • Competency with various IT systems
  • Experience in working towards deadlines
  • Experience as a manager or supervisor in a freight or logistic sector.
