As a Clinical Teaching Fellow, you will be a member of the Salford Royal Clinical Education Campus working across the Northern Care Alliance for a 9 month period from August-April and based either at BRO (Bury, Rochdale and Oldham sites) or at Salford, although cross cover across site may be expected.

We are looking for somebody who has a particular interest in medical education.


The primary educational focus in your role will be to implement, deliver and contribute to ongoing development of the University of Manchester MB ChB programme for Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 Medical Students at BRO and Salford Royal.

This will include working with Academic Year Leads, teaching of Year 3 Medical Students in the clinical environment, teaching clinical examinations and supporting and assessing Undergraduate Practical Assessment Skills.

The post-holder will also support the leads with facilitating Patient Assessment Teaching and Themed Case Discussions and Communication Skills.


The post-holder will support the Hospital Dean, Undergraduate Tutors and Undergraduate Education Head of Service in ensuring that teaching not only meets the requirements of the evolving University of Manchester curriculum, but offers students outstanding educational experiences, that enhance their workplace learning.

To be eligible for consideration you must have full GMC registration at FY2 level with license to practice.

Travel between sites will be required therefore a clean UK driving license & own transport will be essential.
