We are looking for a friendly and proactive Administrator to join the Dietetic service based at The Poynt, Luton.

This role is part time (Monday - Wednesday, 22.5 hours per week).

What will I be doing?

  • Booking patients into our clinics with the Dietitians.
  • Processing new patient referrals and managing the waiting lists for the service.
  • Ordering of equipment for our tube fed patients.
What are we looking for?

  • Your must have experience working in an administrative role, ideally within a health or social care setting (but not essential)
  • You will need to be a kind and empathetic individual, ensuring that patients receive a high level of customer service
  • Enthusiastic individual who enjoys a varied workload where no two days are the same
  • Excellent IT, organisation and communication skills

The post holder will work as a member of a wider dietetic team providing administrative support.

To take responsibility for ensuring patients are booked in Dietetic clinics in a timely manner.


To assist the Dietitians with the administrative work required to facilitate safe and timely discharge of patients from hospital requiring home enteral tube feeding (HETF).


With support and appropriate training, to have an understanding of HETF to be able to complete equipment orders and to collect basic dietetic and tube care information from service users or carers.

To efficiently use an electronic patient record, SystmOne, to produce letters and reports according to department procedure.
