Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a part-time role of 26.25 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 3.5 days over 7.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration and drivers license is essential.
This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team. In addition to this we are also advertising another post that is very similar to this one. So, in total we have two posts available

Both posts provide an exciting opportunity to join the Community Dietetic Service.

The successful applicants will join a friendly and enthusiastic community dietetic team in the South Clyde or North East quadrants of NHS GG&C.

They will have a key role in:
- planning and providing an evidence based Dietetic Service to people with learning disabilities, carers, medical, nursing and AHP staff. The dietitian will work in partnership with other professionals to provide a specialist dietetic service to referred clients and their carers in their own homes, supported accommodation, resource centres and clinics appropriate to their needs.
- supervising, teaching, mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic support workers and clerical staff.
- planning and delivery education and training for health care professionals. This training covers detailed, broad ranging topical nutritional issues covering the entire life cycle.
