Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford) is a global pioneer and leader in population health science.

The department has over 900 staff, students and academic visitors who work together to investigate the causes and prevention of disease and lead human health forward.


The Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement Officer will work as part of a small team to support the involvement of patients and the public in the department's research.

You will work with the Senior Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement Officer and other colleagues to develop and coordinate public involvement and engagement activities that help support the department's strategic objectives.

You will support a range of projects, working with researchers to develop and implement plans for involving the public in their research.


To be considered, you will have relevant experience in a public and patient involvement and engagement role and the ability to communicate complex scientific and technical ideas to non-specialist audiences.

You will also have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects and activities successfully.
