Responsibilities


This job role includes management of your own portfolio of business within the Skuld P&I Underwriting Team in London (Mutual, Fixed and Charterers P&I and FD&D, and Yacht) in conjunction with the Skuld global team.


The role will incorporate responsibility for:

  • Developing and maintaining the existing portfolio
  • Attracting new, sustainable business
  • Product development
  • Presenting and marketing Skuld's products externally to members, clients and brokers worldwide
  • Building strong relationships with members, clients and brokers
  • Being up to date and knowledgeable about the market through dialogue, research and industry press
  • Assessing risk and producing quotations and renewal offers in accordance with the Skuld's Underwriting Policy, Instructions and Guidelines
  • Liaison between Skuld offices globally, including Skuld Hull and Energy
  • Close cooperation with claims handlers
  • Liaison with credit control
  • Dealing with members, clients and projects with high complexity and/or importance

Your experience should include:

  • Ability to lead work of high complexity,
  • Can be considered a role model within your own area of expertise, with the ability to coach colleagues
  • Good communication skills internally and externally verbal and written
  • Ability to present and facilitate both towards members, clients, brokers and internally within Skuld


  • Language skills

  • English at a high level, fluent in speaking and writing
