The Company Overview:

Butler rose are partnered with a well-established and long-standing family run retail company based in North Manchester.

They are now looking to recruit a Credit Controller to provide effective & accurate credit control function for the department and to act as an interface between the company and the customer.

My client now has an immediate requirement for a Credit Controller and as a result, you will need to be either immediately available or available at short notice.

This is a permanent position with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office with a 3pm finish on Fridays.

Your new role as a Credit Controller:

Your duties will include:

Outstanding sales balances are managed through leveraging internal & external relationships. Timely payments are ensured &, if necessary, re-payment plans negotiated

Orders are authorised as appropriate &, if necessary, credit facilities are negotiated/suspended to facilitate order release

Customer accounts are reconciled, and payments are accurately allocated to the appropriate account & invoice.

Credit limits are set in line with customers' turnover & forward orders. Credit limits are reviewed within the guidelines of our credit reference agencies and credit insurer

Collection procedures are followed for overdue accounts, focused on the use of telephone collection techniques through to debt collection/legal action

A meaningful Personal Development Plan is maintained

Understanding of best practice and knowledge of business performance is constantly refreshed

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

Part Qualified CICM would be a great advantage

Experience of self-billing and high-volume transactions

Experience of credit control would be an advantage

Excel

Vlookups and pivot tables is essential

Ability to prioritise & used to managing own ledger

Previous experience in Retail or Clothing would be beneficial
