The Stradey Estate is looking for a skilled stone mason approaching retirement age who wants to keep working with a committed team for the sense of accomplishment and pride they enjoy from their craft, but want to work on a part time basis around their own commitments to family and friends etc.
Stradey Castle is a very interesting Grade II* family home that remains very much unchanged from when the family originally built it.
There is also a stone boundary wall, model farm with walled garden, saw mill, carpenters shop, blacksmiths and granary building, which are largely unchanged.
Applicants should be comfortable working with dressed stone, hydraulic and hydrated lime mortar.Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

From £11.00 per hour

Experience:
- Stone masonry: 5 years (required)
- Bricklaying: 1 year (preferred)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- CRB certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)
