Senior Associate - Occupational Health & Casualty - Birmingham


DWF is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our nationally recognised Occupational Health Team - one of the largest in the UK within our Birmingham office.


Within this area we act for household name composite insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of fast - track and multi-track matters.

Based in our Birmingham office but working predominantly at home, you will join a dynamic and fastpaced Occupational Health & Casualty team and gain access to top level industry training.

You will have daily video contact with your supervisor and with the wider team through twice weekly video meetings.

Using technology you will be able to work from homebut have full access to the support of your supervisor via Microsoft Teams app.

As a Senior Associate you will:

  • You will run a Fast Track Injury caseload of EL, PL and Disease matters towards a satisfactory/speedy conclusion
  • Prepare instructions to counsel
  • Prepare court bundles
  • Assess liability & quantum
  • Review expert witness statements
  • Update the case management system and client management information
  • Provide the highest level of client care at all times

What we are looking for; we are keen to speak with applicants who can demonstrate a genuine interest in Occupational Health & Casualty Injury work who possess the following;

  • Relevant legal qualifications i.e. LLB and possibly the LPC.
  • Senior Associate or similar experience & therefore knowledge of progressing legal matters.
  • An aptitude for learning and personal development.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
