IFA Senior Administrator - Barnstaple


A fantastic opportunity to join AFH Wealth Management, one of the UK's leading independent financial advisory and wealth management firms.


We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business and support our strong growth plans, with hybrid working and shift patterns of 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity and in return, you will receive a competitive salary and range of benefits.


As our IFA Senior Administrator you will typically:

  • Be a point of contact for IFA's, clients, life offices and members of the business
  • Provide coaching and support for other team members, working closely with an allocated Administrator to help them prioritise and manage their workflow
  • Maintain administration systems and the diary management system, ensuring client data is accurate and up to date and daily workflow is completed accurately and in line with SLA's
  • Undertake filing, photocopying and scanning duties when required, ensuring appropriate documentation is scanned and attached to the relevant client records

Other duties include:


  • Assisting with the management of the IFA's portfolio of existing business
  • Preparing and format reports, new business and review packs for IFA client meetings
  • Obtaining research when requested for protection and annuity products, and provide mortgage research for IFA's using online system
  • Obtaining illustrations for products from providers either online or over the telephone
  • Processing payment requests and surrenders using SLA's and compliance guidelines
  • Dealing with fund switch requests and also be responsible for processing fund switches online (where applicable) and follow through to completion
  • Obtaining valuations/details on existing policies, ensuring the administration system is updated accurately

What we are looking for in our ideal IFA Senior Administrator:

  • Experience of supporting advisers in an office administration support role
  • Coaching and supporting team members
  • Effective organisational and planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Able to forge and develop relationships, through excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout, using a keen eye for detail
  • Willing to learn and develop, working as part of a team and under your own initiative
