HPT Recruitment are working with a national leisure and retail operator based in the North East. They are looking to expand their property team with the appointment of a Commercial Acquisitions Surveyor. This role is vital to the department as it will assist in the growth of their national portfolio.


Day to day duties:

• Assisting the team with retail acquisitions including researching and identifying potential new sites, negotiating final costs, agreeing on location and size of properties that are in line with business plans.
• Managing and reviewing leases on current and potential properties and making suggestions that will benefit the business.
• Producing reports and presentations as and when relevant to the Director of Property.
• Liaising with external stakeholders including local authorities, property agents, and solicitors.
• Providing technical advice on any commercial property management requirements.

This role is for someone who is ambitious and motivated.

The individual must come from a commercial surveying background and either have previous experience in acquisitions or has the appetite to diversify into this area.

Ideally the successful individual will be Chartered however, those with adequate experience will also be considered.

National travel will be required 2-3 times a month with overnight stays.

In return, the client can offer a salary up to £55,000 and additional benefits including car/car allowance, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, life insurance, generous pension scheme and more.
