Projects Procurement Manager

An exciting new opportunity for a Projects Procurement Manager to join a leading aerospace and defence company based in Bournemouth with a salary up to £60,000.

This position has been created due to recent business growth and increased project requirements.

The Projects Procurement Manager plans and delivers the procurement strategy for several key existing and new business programmes with aerospace, defence and other export customers.

There are many fantastic opportunities for development into more senior positionsover the next few years.

Responsibilities of the Projects Procurement Manager:

Managing and developing strategic supplier relationships and with other key stakeholders.
Negotiating proposals and contractual terms and conditions as required, while identifying and managing any associated risks.
Driving improved profitability and bid cost reduction through reuse, best practice processes and knowledge sharing.

Person Specification of the Commercial Manager:

Hold or be eligible for SC clearance
:

Previous proven experience in a senior procurement position that manages strategic suppliers.
Previous experience working on complex support programmes within an engineering background, and ideally within aerospace.
Solid understanding of procurement and contract management principles.
Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognise risk elements.

Salary:

Up to £60,000

This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within procurement and purchasing as a Procurement Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar.
