Description

The Sector Resource manager is accountable to the Regional Resource Planning Lead and responsible to the Sector Head of Service Delivery.

The post holder is responsible for the production of local rotas in accordance with Trust requirements.

The role requires the post holder to ensure best fit allocation of shifts in conjunction with a local team of planners as directed by the strategic and tactical intentions of the Trust to optimise patient safety and performance.

The post holder will ensure effective utilisation of the Trust rostering system, consistent and accurate recording of information (and provide advice to the local team on the future allocation of resources.

As a member of the Sector Business unit management team the Sector Resource manager is expected to assist in the achievement of national and local performance targets, and quality standards for the sector and the Trust by:

  • Promote the Trust's core mission and values by ensuring both themselves and their staff are focused, work together as one team, are responsive and provide an exemplary service
  • Adhere to EEAST policies and procedures at all times and show compassionate leadership in dealing with sensitive individual matters.
  • Working with the sector General Manager to develop internal key performance indicators for the Resource planners in order to create a performance and service culture
  • Line Management responsibility for Resource planners based within their sector
